Updated snapshot:

* re-added mono_create_ftnptr fix (appears to have moved)

With this I'm back at the behavior I previously witnessed, with mono hanging on
OSX (instead of crashing), possibly in an attempt to handle a SIGILL. (dtrace
crashes while trying to trace the function flow via pid provider)

Still waiting for comments on the ppc-codegen.h macros Paolo suggested; a
separate reformatting patch to beautify this one was posted to mono-dev but not
yet reviewed either:
