I looked into providing 2 versions of ncurses (5.4 and 5.5), and it won't
appear to work.

If deleting the file works, that's all I can recommend.  Otherwise, use a
supported distro to avoid these issues.

-> Marking as wontfix. (The generic linux installer isn't supported on all
distros.  It's more of a 'best effort' attempt.)
