Here is what I observed:

* When running at 24fps (our old default fps) this happens a lot
* When running at 50fps (our new default fps) this happens very rarely. 
* When running at 60fps (the specified fps for this object) it doesn't happen
at all. 

It seems to be tightly related to fps, I'm adding bug 341826 to dependencies. 

Why fps is related is unclear to me. Wild guess -- js code does some timing on
it's own (?).
