In my notebook, this option is not checked, so I think it is off.

Testcase running under .NET 3.5SP1 shows underlinded characters without
pressing any key. Pressing Alt or Ctrl does not affect to display.

Testcase running under MONO SVN does not show underlined characters, even if
Alt or Ctrl is pressed.
