This resolves the issue reported in that it makes the new project dialog and
the rename file logic use the same validation rules, but I think that the rules
are too strict. I think that the project name should be allowed to be anything,
but the project filename should only deny what the filesystem won't allow. I
couldn't find the details of why the original author did not allow other
characters like {, }, @, etc, but if it makes sense to change it to be more
lenient, I can submit another patch.
