Still not enough. I know that this compiles from SVN since monobuild[1] does it
often and did not report something like this.

So it's likely something else, either in your environment or

Please details where you got the mono-tools sources (and its revision) and how
it was compiled to produce this.

Also include the output of
gacutil -l | grep Cecil

so we can make sure you have the latest and greatest cecil available.
