Well, the bug title no longer applies (".NET is twice faster as Mono 1.2.6" for
reference) so technically, that has been fixed ;-)

It might be a good test to integrate for future optimizations and to look at
closing that gap.

Massi, could you look at the generated output for .NET and Mono Linear IL and
provide your input as to what makes the largest difference nowadays?
