My version of the test above is to distinguish whether it happens under multi
thread situation (it is multi thread: main and the callee) or not. I'd like to
hear what actually happens with my code.

Though the question with regard to this bug should be: does it apply to "memory
allocation" ? If not, we should close this bug and create another one for the
*actual* problem. If multi thread on OSX is very slow, then that's the core of
the problem, and memory allocation is not.
