It runs fine here.  Does it only happen on Linux?  Your email said it also
happened on Windows.  If it is Linux only, make sure you are also using the 1.9
version of libgdiplus.  If the versions get mismatched, strange things like
this can happen.

If not:
- What distro of Linux are you using?
- How did you install Mono? Packages? Installer?
- Have you changed the default system fonts?
