Actually, indirectly fixed on rev. 88410

Note to self: triggering a resize when switching combobox modes apparently
triggers an X error when it tries to set the Z order between the two combobox
child controls textbox and listbox (might it be thinking they are not
siblings?). Rev 88410 took out the resize and therefore fixed this.
