I had a look into the code to make sure we didn't return any path data and made
a few changes (managed r89610, unmanaged r89611) to implement missing features
and match MS behavior (exceptions).

Our logic is correct so there's no point in keeping this open (as it will be
further reviewed during the audit anyway).
