Fixed in r88893:

Put a hack in configure that takes glitz out of the link flags if it's in
there.

There's a linker flag (--as-needed) that should also fix this but it effects
only libs mentioned after that flag and libtool puts all such flags at the end
of a command-line so that it has no effect.
