 Here is a simple testprogram to demonstrate the issue. On Solaris 8/10
 it will always fail to connect while it works fine on Linux (Ubuntu
 6.10 in my case).

+I've committed a fix for connect(2) on Solaris (see bug 81010) as
+r74811.  Please try latest svn and see if it fixes this issue too.
