+New snapshot:
+* fixed mono_create_ftnptr() for ppc64 function descriptors
+* enabled compilation on Linux/ppc64 (including 32-bit)
+* added support for Linux/ppc64
+* fixed exception handling for Linux/ppc64
+* fixed atomic.h for ppc64
+
+Results:
+- mini no longer aborts, instead it hangs on OS X
+- on Debian Linux it crashes
+- playing with the defines in mini_init() as suggested by Zoltan did 
+not improve things
