+I've already modified PKG_CONFIG_PATH in the pkg-config wrapepr to
+include /L/F/M/Libraries/pkgconfig.

+Typically on Mac, a .config file is added to whatever app or dll
+(Mono.Unix.Native in this case) that has a full path to the native lib.
