 Apparently, MS underlines these mnemonic characters as it does for 
 other controls (eg menuitem), but pressing Alt in combination with 
 one of these characters does not cause the corresponding button to 
 be clicked (unlike other controls such a menuitem).

+Tool tips for tool bar buttons work like this, too.
