This is not really a bug in Mono, this is a bug in Tomboy.

We would like to turn the feature back on after other people have fixed their
bugs.   That being said, the implementation of the error message is not great,
but it is also not terrible, considering that this will only happen when an
application is asserting.

Jonathan Pobst has pointed out that we should probably register our own
TraceListener from Gtk# and Windows.Forms to provide our own implementations,
although am not sure if that actually covers the Assert case.
