 How often does this happen? 
 Always (checked on Windows through VS2005). On Linux I get an error in mono
 unmanaged code, I will fill a bug for it later.

+The error itself is correct and would also throw if you execute 
+under MS.Net if you set the Property of a VScrollbar (tested).
+Could be some problem with execution flow (the stacktrace is deeper 
+than everything I've seen before)
