Recent changes in the SSL code base (r65259) have reduced it's memory
requirements by about two-thirds. This should have some beneficial
 effects on performance.
An updated version of mget is now available in Mono SVN.
+------- Additional Comments From sebastien at ximian.com 2006-09-20 09:16 -------
+Kazuki Oikawa has contributed (r65696) an AES implementation has been
+fully unrolled, changed to work on int (instead of bytes) and has
+better locality (enabling more JIT optimizations). The new version is
+about 3-12 times faster and SSL/TLS usage pattern should get the most
+(10x) of it (of course that only affects crypto times).
