 Yes, the CLI bridge works with microsoft .net framework 1.1.
 
 The CLI bridge does not work with Mono.  I get the same problem with

+The bridge used on mono is different than the bridge used by the .net
+framework, so it can very well be a bug in the bridge. I also think
