 fixed on trunk revision 55687.  Previously visible items were not
 getting their height/width zeroed out on recalc.

+This is mostly fixed, but I wanted to make sure the behaviour is 
+okay. Now, after loading an assembly and then selecting File->Close, 
+you can press alt+V and see a small block. Selecting it doesn't do 
+anything, and if you just press Alt and then go through the menus
