+I was just running 2 winforms tests:
+
+winforms/notifyicon/swf-notifyicon.exe
+winforms/contextmenu/swf-basicmenu.exe
+
+during the running of those tests, metacity switched from sloppy to
+click-to-focus.  It might be MWF, but it might also be a metacity bug (I
+use both sloppy focus and alt-tab to focus windows).  more investigation is
+necessary.
