 Try rebuilding just mono/utils/strtod.c without any optimisations at all.
 
 I get the same hang in MonoTests.System.DoubleTest.Parse when building
 that file with gcc 4.1.0 and any level of optimisation.  I've tried
 -O1 with -fno-* and it still fails.
