+At the time, I was running SUSE Linux 10.0 upgraded to 10.1.  After I submitted this bug, I 
+realized that the OS was acting quirky in more ways than one and I decided to reinstall a 
+fresh copy of Fedora Core 5.  It has been running normally ever since.

+I have not yet installed Mono on FC5 and have not been able to re-test my application.  I 
+will reinstall Mono as soon as possible and let you know if the bug ever existed in the first 
+place or if my installation was corrupt.
