+When a (top-level) menu item is clicked twice, an the mouse pointer is 
+moved downwards then the menu is not really closed. It is no longer 
+displayed but still reacts to mouse click events.
+
+To reproduce:
+1. compile and run the attached code snippet.
+2. follow the on-screen instructions.
