+This doesn't have anything to do with mono. 
+Whatever shell you are using is expanding the "##.#" to nothing, so 
+there are no arguments to your program. Try "echo ##.#", nothing will 
+get printed. If you run your program with the argument "\##.#", the 
+result of your program will be "##.#"
