 I did managed to reproduce this without using MWF. It just involves
 loading image resources from a stream, if I can find where I put the
 sample I will attach.

+No it's not MWF related (and was moved in System.Drawing) but seems to
+happen only when going thru the Kornel's COM stream code (hence only
+under Win32).
