+In the attached screenshot you can see that the treeview is rendering the
+boxes for [-] and [+] with probably four different strokes that are being
+composed with each other (notice that the intersection points are darker
+than the rest).
+
+Also notice that the - and + signs are not really visible or distinguishable.
