 I can confirm that using mono from svn helps.  I haven't seen the
 lock-up with svn, but I also haven't been able to run beagled for
 extended periods: it always crashes with a glibc "double free or
 corruption" error.  But that is a separate bug, which I'll file as
 soon as I can get a reasonable backtrace...
