+mcs cannot compile the attached code. (its a modified version the example 
+on http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/en-
+us/csspec/html/vclrfcsharpspec_2_4_2.asp )
+its possible to compile this with csc.
+the error seems to be caused by the line cl\u0061ss.st\u0061tic(true)
