+There have been some fixes committed to FreeBSD5 that should fix all this.  After some 
+extensive testing and working with jhb@FreeBSD.org, we managed to get fixes to the 
+thread library.  So, as of now, a build of FreeBSD5 should make mono run fine.

+We'll keep testing to make sure nothing got missed.
