 This should be resolved now in trunk/1.1.11.  The menu refactoring I
 did should have fixed any issues related to dynamic menu
 insertion/removal.

+If you click in the space where the menus used to be, you will see a 
+tiny rectangle representing the "empty" menu now. Nothing should 
+happen when a user clicks in those spaces.
