------- Additional Comments From lorenb at mmgsecurity.com 2005-12-15 20:04 -------
I found the two causes of this bug. The first was a problem in how
Novell.Directory.Ldap.Utilclass/ResoucesHandler.cs was loading the
resource messages.

The second issue was that for SSL support in
Novell.Directory.Ldap/Connection.cs it tries to load the Mono.Security
assembly. It does this by calling
Assembly.LoadFrom("Mono.Security.dll"). That only checks the current
application directory.

The better thing to do would be to check the current application
directory AND the GAC. That can be done with via
Assembly.LoadWithPartialName ("Mono.Security")

I've created a patch that fixes both of these problems.
