 I think that MS.NET has the same behaviour. I read in a document
 inside MSDN that talks about the change of HTTP -> HTTPS by hand.

+the right thing (i.e. returned a proxy with an https url).

+I haven't had this problem since mono 1.1.8, so I assumed it had been
