+I have seen similar problems on Ubuntu Linux/Hoary (IIRC it has a
+2.6.11 kernel).

+It's not exactly repeatable, but happens at least once or twice when
+running 'make run-test' in the mcs/tests directory.  The only
+repeatable aspect is that it happens when a newly compiled assembly is
+executed by mono.
