 I recompiled Mono with i686 opts and also removed Beagle and the 
 problem went away. Don't know which of the two actually fixed the 
 problem, I never actually ran Beagle as a service, I just had it 
 installed, so it might just be the athlon-xp opts screwing this.

+if they are 12M each.  I'd put this down to a Gentoo bug if the
