Summary: monodoc build process is killed before completing the processing of xml files

The monodoc build process fails for me (using current monodoc from cvs).
After running make, it gets as far as processing various input files, and
proceeds to work through them. It is killed before it finishes, which I
believe to be caused by the process taking an excessive amount of memory -
as it runs, the available memory listed by the "free" program gradually
drops. The dropping is not consistent - the amount listed goes up and down
apparently randomly, but the trend is downwards.

The progress of the processing when it is killed varies between runs.
