 It'd be nice if boxes with non-broken installs could use nptl. Right
 now, it does not give that great of a perf boost. However, in HEAD
 there are patches that make NPTL a huge win.

+Hm.. I don't know why guys at Fedora screwed the libc/nptl thing. Just
+there are only i386 and i686 versions of libc. The i386 doesn't have
+nptl :( There are still some <i686 CPUs out there (like AMD K6) and
