Summary: Open bracket not recognised

Please fill in this template when reporting a bug, unless you know what
you are doing.
Description of Problem:

When I compile the code for the gtk# tutorial supplied on the mono site,
the compiler says that a ';' was expected for the lines with [Widget] on
them. There is a ';' at the end of the line.

When I compile the application on the command line, as opposed to using
monodevelop, it list all the possible characters that can be placed at the
beggining of the line such as BASE BOOL BREAK etc. but OPEN_BRACKET isnt
listed so I dont think it can recognise it. Hope that helps

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Reproduce the tutorial at
http://primates.ximian.com/~edasque/projects/Tutorial/glade2.html
2. Attempt to compile the code.
3. 2 errors are found because of the [Widget] lines

Actual Results:
2 compile errors. ';' expected

Expected Results:
No compile errors

How often does this happen?
All the time

Additional Information:

Im using monodevelop 0.5
mono 1.0.1
