 The monolabs gc packages apparently don't work on RedHat 7.3.
 Several people reported success after recompiling the gc lib from the
 sources (_not_ from the srpm, but from the upstream sources, IIRC).
 Doesn't Redhat come with it's own libgc packages? If it does, it's
 probably better to install that version (and report if it works).

+It seems the issue is resolved in the latest libgc packages
