 I didn't compile it at all.  I installed all the mono components from
 the Mono channel on Red Carpet, then typed in the HelloWorld program I
 included in the original bug report, compiled it and tried to run it.

+I've also installed 0.17 in a Win2K box using the mono-setup  for 
+Win2K on http://www.go-mono.com/download.html and a similar thing

+Windows also complains that it can't find mscoree.dll
