[Mono-aspnet-list] Mono ASP.NET OutputCache problem

Just doing some tests using the ASP.NET OutputCache I'm running into strange
behaviour for pages that are instructed to be cached publicly using the
OutputCache directory - e.g. consider the following basic page:

<%@ Page Language="C#" EnableSessionState="false" %>
<%@ OutputCache Duration="20" Location="Any" VaryByParam="*" %>
<html>
<body>
Sample Output <% =DateTime.Now%>
</body>
</html>

This results in a page to be cached publicly (on any location) - causing the
page to include the Cache-Control header with a 'public' value and the
appropriate expiry setting. The .NET ASP.NET output cache stores the page in
the cache and only re-executes the page after 20 seconds (given the setting
above). Any page served from the .NET output cache also gets the correct
'Cache-Control: public' header - with an adjusted expiry value. This all
works as expected under Windows.

However Mono (a recent 3.0.x build on CentOS 6) does use its output cache,
BUT a (publicly cached) page served from the output cache is decorated with
an incorrect 'Cache-Control: private' header - preventing this page from
being cached properly. As soon as the output cache page content expires, the
correct 'public' cache header suddenly re-appears.

The effect can easily be observed by using the page above, loading it and
then refreshing it in your browser while sniffing the HTTP traffic.

This looks like a bug in the MONO ASP.NET output cache module - am I
overlooking something?
