And for Linq support You gonna need DbLinq above Connector.
Mono.Data is more directed towards SqlLite and (I guess) future 
implementations of NoSQL
or other concepts that MS won't support...

DbLinq is dead project. I have submitted few issues, but not a lot changed.
Our team did wrapper around FreePBX (asterisk IPPBX  and mySQL) with 
Mono, MySqlConnector
and DbLinq called getafisk on codeplex. Did one commercial project and 
had to
stop it...
