[Mono-aspnet-list] Server-side write location best practices?

Hi guys,

are there any 'best practices' where a Mono/ASP.Net server (on apache) should write files to?  I 
need to write a config file and am trying to figure out the best location for that file, ideally 
without having platform-specific (if IsUnix...) code.
