[Mono-aspnet-list] MVC authorization and concerns

im doing an application using MVC 3 on mono, so far so good, but now i want
to set authorization rules, and i dont know at all if the authorizations
methods [Authorize(Roles...)] rely on any database or other type of
technology that will lead me to headache, can anyone point me the direction,
digging has lead me to nowhere... thanks in advance.
