[Mono-aspnet-list] problem using MySQL driver from an ASP.NET application running on Ubuntu

Good evening,

 

I have an issue with MySQL connectivity running an ASP.NET application on
Mono 2.4 on Ubuntu. I'll try to summarise:

 

* I have set up a DSN and can connect to the database using iSQL on Ubuntu.

* I cannot, however, connect either directly using the standard connecting
string or by using a DSN from an ASP.NET application on Ubuntu.

* I can connect both directly or by using a DSN from the identical ASP.NET
application running on Mono on Windows.

 

I would be very greatful for any ideas!
