Hi,

Since our next major version will include stable support for watchOS 2+, we’ve switched back to using a single mono repository in our master branch.

Subject: Dual mono clones

Hi!

To ease our development for watchOS we'll have 2 distinct submodules of mono, one in external/mono and another in external/watch-mono (which will be added shortly<https://github.com/xamarin/xamarin-macios/pull/56>).

The second one will be used to build the mono runtimes for the watch simulator and watch device, as well as the Xamarin.WatchOS BCL.

The reason for this split is so that the regular mono submodule (external/mono) can track what will become our next stable version of mono (the mono-4.5.0-branch), while the watchOS development, which is still seeing a lot of work (and is thus by definition not very stable) can track mono/master (and not affect neither the iOS nor tvOS bits).

Build times will be somewhat slower, so if you wish it's possible to disable building any watchOS bits by adding "INCLUDE_WATCH=" (defining the variable to an empty value) to Make.config.local in the root xamarin-macios directory.
