[Gtk-sharp-list] Application developed in C# using GTK crashes on Windows with faulting module error

I tried installing the latest version on Windows 2003 server. Unfortunately,
while executing mono.exe, it throws error, "mono.exe is not a valid Win32
application".
I even tried a basic Hello World test as instruction on mono project site.
What is wrong here.
