[Gtk-sharp-list] GTK# Ubuntu - Debian question

Hey Guys

I'm trying to run apt-get from my GTK# program with:

Process proc = new System.Diagnostics.Process();
proc.StartInfo.FileName = "/bin/bash";
proc.StartInfo.Arguments = "-c apt-get install -y fortunes-off";
proc.StartInfo.UseShellExecute = false; 
proc.StartInfo.RedirectStandardOutput = true;
proc.Start();

The problem I'm having it will not work, I've tried running it as root,
putting sudo before it and nothing works. Anyone know how to overcome it?
