It appears that Gtk will still be one of the underlying engines on all
platforms; see the README.markdown here:
https://github.com/mono/xwt

So, all of these issues are just as important.

But this is an interesting point and I'd like to read about:

* how people are planning transitions?
* what are the implications of these changes?
* what we can do to get ready?
* what is the proposed timeline?
